Yes it works but only on 60hz. So only get this if you plan on gaming 60hz in Style: 4K60 Pro Verified Purchase. I use multiple different capture cards. Amateur to pro. However I have two reason for thinking this: 1 First and foremost the captures of 4K material is very “soft” compared to other cards.

At first I thought this was just me but now I’m more sure. The Avermedia GC captures a much sharper 4K signal with seeming higher res. However eyes can be deceiving Its specs in OBS studio report 4K but the default res seems to be p and this seems to be the “information” that the card is able to capture. That also could contribute to perceived visual softness in Elgato captures.

So beware of that. I am not sure Elgato is straight shooting with this product? So I game in p with a hz monitor. The issue I was having with the HD60pro was that when duplicating the monitor output to send to the capture card, it defaults to p at 60hz. By default it matches the resolution of the lowest input device. This device solves that issue. With the 4k60pro mk2, I can stream to to the capture device at p and a high refresh rate.

This gives me a clean stream output for my twitch broadcasts. If you game at a high refresh rate and stream, this is the only way to go.

I bought this device because I wanted to display my Nintendo Switch on my iMac I haven’t used it to stream per se, but I have connected it to my Nintendo dock so that the iMac screen acts as the display. Set up is totally easy. Yes, it’s expensive to get just for streaming to your iMac but it beats buying another monitor even if the monitor costs less than this device as it keeps the clutter down.

I’m happy with the video quality on the iMac’s And if I want to stream at some point in the future I can use this device to do it. It’s important to use a certified high-speed USB 3. I connected the pass-through output to a SmallHD Focus 7 monitor and everything worked like a charm. No drivers, no software, just plug and play.

Just mind that USB 3. I had initially bought the regular HD60 Pro capture card and prepared for war. Setting it up to work with console streaming seemed to entail hours of complicated setup.

As I waited for it to ship I came across an article about capture cards where it marked the 4k60 Pro as a seamless experience when connecting to consoles like PS4 and Switch. I tried to find some guide on how the 4k is setup but couldn’t find much which seemed strange. I decided to wing it and canceled my HD60 Pro and opted for the 4k capture card. Installing it into the PC was very easy. Once I had everything plugged in and the software downloaded.

I powered on my connected Nintendo Switch and bam. It worked flawlessly and instantly. Beautiful perfect streaming, no audio issues, no connecting issues. It just worked instantly. I immediately started up OBS Studio to sync my capture card and wow. Again it was picked up immediately and worked with a click of a button. I had my brother and friend jump into my Twitch stream and they immediately commented on how good the quality was.

I was very impressed by how seamless the setup was. I have yet to try it on PS4 and don’t have plans for any 4k streaming for sometime but I can confirm the Nintendo Switch at p was working as good as it gets. No input lag, no fps issues, no audio issues or configuring for me. I just plugged in my headset to my computer and it worked.

Thanks ElGato. See all reviews. Top reviews from other countries. The media could not be loaded. I would not recommend this item until Elgato brings out a revised unit. It gets to a point where the button on the front flashes red slowly but touching it does nothing.

I tried using the 4k capture software connecting to the PC with the USB-C cable this time, but it couldn’t find the device. It then went into a loop of booting up with the blue light and crashing, repeating this sequence over and over. Tried a different SD card, different cables, a different video source but no recordings and still couldn’t be found by the PC.

I never saw any output from the passthrough either. The most it did was create the elgato folder and settings. Update: I got the Cloner Alliance Pro instead. Not only did it work perfectly, it was significantly cheaper and came with a remote control which makes it much more usable than the elgato, especially for changing settings.

Having been a loyal Hauppauge customer for years, my PVR2 capture card was finally failing and I decided to take the plunge and go with Elgato after hearing so many amazing things about them. Absolutely nothing worked. I feared it may be a communication issue with my PS5 of some sort, so I tried hooking up the Elgato to the PS4 – Exactly the same problem.

No Passthrough signal. As a last ditch attempt, I even tried a different brand of TV – no change. So much for my dive into the world of Elgato. After 24 hours of pulling my hair out trying to get it to work, I’ve now sent it back for a refund and will be buying another Hauppauge capture card instead. Better the devil you know! I ended up trying 2 of these and neither worked at all. The first one had no power going to the unit so replaced it for another.

The second card had power but its signal was 2 weak to bit it up. I thought maybe it was an issue somewhere else in my set up so I tried it on 3 different screens, my Series X and S, tried 4 different combinations of power leads and plugs and 4 different high-quality HDMI cables.

Nothing made a difference. I was always staring at a black screen. I also, tried connecting it directly to my PC, instead of using it in standalone mode, and the PC detected it was there but couldn’t find a picture either. Save your money. This isn’t the high-end capture card the price suggests. Your recently viewed items and featured recommendations. Back to top. Get to Know Us. Make Money with Us. Amazon Payment Products. Just downloaded and the biggest difference is the icon rearranged a little. I think the magic brush was a bigger deal and was added before,, not sure what version. Upgraded my Fuji Express on Windows It couldn’t find my catalogue and I had to create a new one just to get it to load completely. Now it crashes to the fault report for no apparent reason. To the right of the arrow for extending the tools for instance is a three vertical dot symbol, if I click on that it just crashes completely.

I have reported this, waiting for response. Darn, I shouldn’t have updated. The new tools tab is a productivity killer. Way too big icons, not enough space for the tool tabs. Now I always need to use a menu to access my most used tools.

There’s space for 4 tabs I lost 3, over a whole day of working the loss of focus easily kills up to an hour of productivity over a whole working day within the program. No idea why this is done, the old icons were perfectly fine. They have been changed to match the iPad icons, but can be changed back to the old icons, if you want to. It was explained and shown in the C1 video introducing the changes.

Thanks but no, you can’t change it back, you can only remove the text then they are smaller but still lager than the old ones and they are horrible to distinguish. I feared that was the reason, matching touch and screen interface always ends bad for one of the two. Fair enough, I didn’t listen to this properly, but you can still load the previous icons by using the C1 provided legacy workspace option.

Unfortunately that works neither. It just installs the tool tabs and tools according to how the user has customised them. The new icons will be used and since CaptureOne removed some Tool Tab types you end up with non functioning placeholders where the old tool tabs were.

Of course I can do that but then I lose screen space, the picture I work on gets smaller. While this might be less of an issue on a 30″ Screen it is a huge one on a Notebook, and the widely used 24″ Full HD Graphic Screens that are still the backbone of the industry.

In understand. OK, I haven’t installed it yet, so just going on the release notes and the video. Most people seem to be pleased with the change, but why not raise it as a suggestion with support.

They have rolled back changes in the past. They should add 10bit HEIF support before starting on working on any new fancy features, cameras supporting the HEIF format are now available for more than 2 years, if you count iPhones even longer 8bit though afaik. I cannot find one. I assume you’re referring to the RF Now I am still waiting for the RF 16mm profile, it’s such a nice little lens but it urgently needs some distortion correction I’m a fan of the updated interface; I wish they’d make the icons smaller again, but I like having the color tools in the same panel as the rest.

Yeah I figured that might have been possible, but it was such a minor thing that I never bothered even looking into it.

Have been using the Express version for 1. I really hate LR and cannot really use it anymore. I have used C1 Express for 1. I bought a montly sub for LR, used it for a while. C1 generates previews much faster after importing couple thousand images, and even after preview generation, LR still loads the images much slower compared to C1.

So I was basically waiting a long time for LR to do some really basic tasks such as showing me the image. And it’s the same with many other tasks, C1 does them instantly, with LR I find myself waiting. Since I’m used to C1’s raw rendering, I didn’t like the rendering of LR, but that’s just a preference. It would change after a while. And mostly I didn’t like the interface of LR. It’s still the same thing I used almost 15 years ago.

Very outdated interface imho. I don’t like the different modules whatsoever. In your use-case with so many photographs, I can definitely understand that you accept the higher price for a faster workflow. I can also recall from my time with C1, that C1 has a more modern UI design, while Adobe are using mostly the same look and feel that they have had for a long time. Had Adobe and C1 sold for the same price it would have been a no-brainer for me also, but as a hobbyist, that handles maximum photographs per session, the choice is not so easy, given the big difference in cost.

I loved C1 with my Fuji files but hate it with my Nikon now. C1 is perfect for Fuji. I also think C1 is really expensive. I just started making a small amount of money from photography but even then I couldn’t justify C1 for a long time. So I don’t understand why we don’t have a one time purchase cheap photo editor similar to LR but with a modern UI and amazing speed. I find the c1 pro color profiles for Nikon Much better than those in LR. It brings a new, 25MP sensor and bit 4K capture at up to p.
